describe a time when someones words had a lasting impact on you

Recently when i went to the hair salon and this pastors wife from LA came down to Atlanta for a few days. The conversation began to get deep and I started talking about my leg. Both my hairstylist and the lady asked if i did therapy and i said no because i feel like it will bring back feelings i already feel i pushed down. They enlightened me and told me that whatever feelings i think i pushed down is likely to follow me in the future. Them talking to me made me consider therapy more and more
