Prompt: Reflect on your writing process for essays. Which part of writing an essay do you struggle with the most (for example: developing a thesis, organizing ideas, finding strong evidence, writing introductions, or explaining your analysis)? Which parts of essay writing do you feel most confident about? Explain why you feel strong in those areas and what specifically makes the challenging part difficult for you. Include at least one goal for how you plan to improve your essay writing skills.

 When writing an essay, I struggle the most with commentary. After finding the evidence I can usually explain the evidence in one sentence. So to have to write three sentences of commentary was the most difficult. In an essay I feel most confident about the concluding sentences for each paragraph and the concluding paragraph. I feel I'm good a summing things up and finding lessons and meanings in things. I plan to expand my mind more when it comes to commentary.

 When i was younger of course i believe in Santa Clause. Though kids at school will tell me all the time santa was fake i didnt believe them. One day, i woke up in the middle of the night and saw my father wrapping gifts. I was devastated. I felt tricked and lied to. Out of spite and rebelliousness, i went to school the following week and told everyone Santa was fake. Given , i was telling everyone i could possibly tell, students began to cry. The  teacher decided to call my mom , and i had to go home for the rest of the day.

Prompt: At the end of the novel, Celie reconnects with Nettie and forms more peaceful relationships with the people who once harmed her. Reflect on the theme of reconciliation. Have you ever restored a relationship, forgiven someone, or been forgiven in a way that changed you? How does the novel’s ending shape your understanding of forgiveness across different cultures or families?

Given me and my significant other go through things, there has been plenty of times where we have both got into and apologized. Each time it feels as if we get stronger and stronger. All of these disagreements teach me something new lesson wise. The novel showed me that forgiving doesn't always end in getting backstabbed again and that sometimes its ok to let your guard down for a better outcome in the future.
