 The film The Hate U Give, represents my culture. Though there were negative parts about my culture , there were also meaningful parts that better represent my culture. Acts like protesting for whats right , getting good grades as a black girl, being more than comfortable in your skin were all represented in this movie. Watching these acts definitely impacted me and made me feel proud to be who I am as a young black girl in America.

 A relationship that changed over time was my relationship woth my paternal grandparents. When i was younger i used to talk, text and visit them in Virginia very often. As i grew up i became less attached. Not because of anything negative, but simply because it just happened. I still love them dearly , we just communicate less. Growing up they taught me alot and put me through learning experiences so for that im grateful.
